Design Process Steps
Step.1 Online Consultation
At Online Garden Design we aim to create the perfect garden for you. We take your ideas and combine them with ours to create a unique, practical and beautiful garden perfectly suited to your needs, tastes and style.
Upon payment for your Landscape Design Package we will send you out a simply questionnaire asking about you needs, wants and taste and some simple site analysis. Along with this questionnaire, we ask for 5-10 photos of your site and a rough outline of the dimensions of your property. Our landscape designer will consider your responses, photos of the site, shadows, views, screening/privacy requirements, drainage and practical elements required.
We will look at suitable garden styles, building materials, plants and garden features to suit you and your garden space.
Following this online consultation process we will prepare your unique landscape plan. Given our depth of experience in both landscape design AND landscape construction you can rest assured that your landscape plan will be both beautiful and functional. We will then come back to you with a concept outline to ensure that you are happy with the direction of the design, at this point any amendments can be made. From here we will create for you a unique garden design that perfectly suits your needs and wants.
Step.2 Landscape Plan
The garden design process;
Landscape Plan – At this stage we will prepare a drawing of your proposed garden space using our computer design software. Each landscape plan will include all hard landscaping features such as paving, water features, decks as well as plant species and building materials to be used. All features incorporated will be based upon your wants and needs list, we will simply make your wish list aesthetically pleasing and functional. This plan can be used by you as DIY guide or given to a contractor to build the garden following the clear and concise plans.
All plans are simply and easy to follow, either all at once, or in stages as your budget and time allows.
Step.3 Your Landscape Package is sent to you containing;
Landscape Plan – A complete working landscape plan including all features, building materials and plants clearly outlined.
Construction Documentation – Accompanying the landscape plan we will also provide acess to our extensive online outline of construction methods and materials to be used to build the garden. Clearly outlining all stages of the process to avoid any confusion. These will be outlined in easy DIY (Do It Yourself) construction guides, such as – ‘How to Lay Paving’. This will also include a planting list and sample images of the proposed trees, shrubs, and ground covers.
Plant List – In conjunction with the landscape design plan and construction outline we will provide you access to our online catalogue of plants – taking into account climate, aspect, soil type. A thorough outline of each plant will be available including maintenance instructions, and similar alternative plants.
Landscape Maintenance Guide – Online access including a wide variety of ongoing garden maintenance guidelines such as lawn care, pruning and fertilising to ensure your beautiful new garden is kept in great shape.
Ongoing Garden Advice – Along with this package we offer one year of free garden consultation advice. If you have any questions, queries or comments we will happily answer those for you within 24 hours.
